My Cold Weather Essentials

The temperature is starting to drop, the winter coats are out and England is living up to its chilly reputation.
I really enjoy this half of the year when it starts to get colder -There is so much to look forward to with Halloween, bonfire night and Christmas all within a few weeks of each other. As much as I love this time of year I do need a few essentials to make it through the colder months. Beanies are without a doubt my favourite winter accessory for a few reasons, my ears don't get cold and they are a great solution for bad hair days. I pretty much live in these from September through to March.

You will never see me not sporting one of my many Lokai bracelets. Lokai sells bracelets that has a black bead containing mud from the lowest point of the earth, the black sea, and one white bead that contains water from the highest point of earth, Mount Everest. The bracelet is a reminder to be hopeful during your lowest moments and humble during the moments when you feel on top of the world. I've worn through two of the original bracelets and i'm on my third so I think its time for a seasonal change and start wearing the blue one.

I also purchased the Lokai bottle from their most recent charity collaboration in a bid to make myself drink more water throughout the day. When it gets colder I opt for coffee over water so I don't stay hydrated which can be a contributing factor why my skin gets so dry during the winter, so i'm making a conscious effort to drink more water.

Because I do suffer from dry skin during winter I opt for products that are extra hydrating. I like to moisturise my skin with an oil so prevent dry and flaking skin and I'm loving the Lani Tropical Super Serum. I like to pair this with my favourite base at the moment is the Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream which is very light weight, moisturising and has great natural looking coverage. I also like to use my Tarte gifted mascara as it helps to condition my lashes while making them look long and fluttery.

At the end of the day I prefer so use an oil based cleanser to cleanse my skin and I use the Emma Hardie cleansing balm because it leaves my skin feeling so soft and moisturised. I also get the driest lips around this time of year, so every night i'll exfoliate my lips with the Frank lip scrub and then apply a generous amount of my Fresh Sugar lip balm. If I feel like treating myself, then I will run myself a bath and use the butter bear bath bomb, which is super hydrating for the entire body.
